VOMITON – the International Costume Collective – playing with trash.
VOMITON creates oversized masks fashioned from waste as a playful, cathartic response to Covid 19.

VOMITON was started during first lockdown by KIERA SAUNDERS and MIRIAM CRADDOCK for their final degree show at Edinburgh College of Art. Since then, the collective has expanded to include LORENZO RANGONI ROBERTSON at their core, as well as Hannah Draper, myself, and other contributing ‘satellite’ artists and dancers. VOMITON collaborates with musicians to perform on stage as wild, creaturely dancers. Most notably, VOMITON has performed at Hidden Door Festival, Roundhouse London, and Summerhall Edinburgh.

I last performed with VOMITON and contributed my creations in Jan 2022 when I moved back to London.
Below are some of the events where we performed whilst I was still a satellite artist with the wild and wonderful collective.

LIFE DRAWING EVENT

︎  Peanut Press Cafe
9th December 2021

Vomiton Collective holds a surreal experimental new flavour of life drawing!

2 hour life drawing, taught by the magnifiqueeee artist Madeleine Wood.
- "Drawing for me is another form of thinking. I draw to process and make sense of my feelings, unpicking power tensions, pinpointing and playing with particular emotions - visualising them into graphic variations of animal-human hybrids and other anthropomorphic forms. Searching for the animals that lurk within us still."

followed by musical performance
by artist Alliyah Enyo
- "Her name is in of itself a cycle and so I breathe. Breathe life into my ecosystem through song, through dance, through ritual."

And our wonderful models @camerawhore_xd & @dfronan97 !!!!!

So excited, see you there
